MOBILISE trainees wrap up their journey with final workshop in Dronten

From September 24th to 26th, trainees from Egypt and Tunisia came together at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten for the final workshop of the 2025 MOBILISE mobility program. The three-day event marked the conclusion of their training and internship experience in the Netherlands, offering a moment to reflect, connect, and celebrate before returning home.

On Wednesday afternoon, after travelling independently to Dronten, trainees participated in a series of ice-breakers and energizers to reconnect as a group. They shared personal experiences of life and work in the Netherlands, presented short videos about their host companies, and reflected on the technical aspects of their learning. The session created a space for both personal expression and peer exchange around the professional growth they had experienced.

Thursday began with the exit knowledge test, followed by one-on-one meetings with academic coaches to review each trainee’s progress and final assignments. Later in the day, participants joined a group evaluation to reflect on key takeaways, challenges encountered, and suggestions for improving the program. Among the most valued lessons, trainees highlighted improvements in communication and teamwork, adaptability, and technical knowledge insustainable agriculture. They also mentioned time management, independence, and learning through hands-on experience as significant areas of growth. Common challenges included coping with weather conditions, long commutes by bicycle, adapting to fast-paced and high-precision work environments, and managing responsibilities across work, study, and daily life. These honest and constructive reflections will inform adjustments for future editions of the program.

The day ended on a festive note, with a joyful cultural celebration featuring games, performances, and group-led activities where trainees shared aspects of their heritage in creative and engaging ways.

On Friday morning, trainees completed the final satisfaction survey and received a short presentation on the upcoming return program, which will support their reintegration into the job market in Egypt and Tunisia. Before departing, the group gathered for a certificate ceremony and photosession, capturing the closing moments of what many described as a life-changing experience.

As they made their way to Schiphol Airport that afternoon, trainees left with a sense of pride, accomplishment, and connection. The MOBILISE team congratulates all participants and looks forward to continuing the journey with them in the return phase.
