An international collaborative effort
The MOBILISE project is a collaborative effort between partners from the Netherlands, Egypt, Ethiopia and Tunisia. Together, we are working to launch a scalable and institutionally entrenched circular talent development programme.
Egypt
Kafrelsheik University
Kafrelsheikh University (KFS) has more than 100 basic programs for the undergraduate stage, in addition to 21 new distinguished programs and language divisions that are in line with the needs of the local ,regional and international labor market, in addition to professional studies in some of the university’s colleges for the postgraduate level and more than 350postgraduate programs (diplomas, masters and doctorate degrees).
As part of the university’s interest in accrediting its colleges, the university has obtained various educational effectiveness projects to accredit various colleges and continues to seek others. This contributes to increasing opportunities for international cooperation and makes graduates of Kafr El Sheikh University’s colleges in demand in the labor market inside and outside Egypt.
Ethiopia
Hawassa University
The College of Agriculture (CA) at Hawassa University (HU) has a distinguished history, spanning over 44 years since its establishment in 1976. Currently, the college is comprised of three schools and one faculty, offering a range of academic programs including BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees. These include the School of Animal and Range Sciences, the Faculty of Environment, Gender and Development Studies, the School of Nutrition, Food Science and Post-Harvest Technology, and the School of Plant and Horticultural Sciences.
The College of Agriculture has established itself as a reputable institution for the generation and dissemination of agricultural technologies. These advancements encompass a wide array of areas, such as crop varieties, agronomic practices, and livestock technologies. The impact of these innovations extends beyond the college's mandate areas, benefitting the broader agricultural community as well.
The Netherlands
Maastricht School of Management (MSM) - Maastricht University (UM)
Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is part of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE), located in the city of Maastricht, the Netherlands.
MSM is Coordinator of the MOBILISE project through its Expert Centre on Emerging Economies (ECEE), specialized in capacity strengthening for a multitude of different clients worldwide. The Center focuses on the role of international and local businesses in promoting economic growth and sustainable development to low income and lower-middle income countries.
Aeres
The Aeres Group is the largest supplier of green professional education in The Netherlands and provides education and training at Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor and Master level at a range of agricultural institutes and training centers throughout the country.
Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten partners with MSM in the MOBILISE project and is amongst others leading the development of the pre-departure and training and internship program in The Netherlands. It will also offer specific training on horticulture and Climate Smart Agriculture to teachers and students, it will guide students during their stay in The Netherlands and contribute to the development of the return program which will be enrolled when students return from The Netherlands to their home country.
Tunisia
L’Agence de la Vulgarisation et de la Formation Agricoles (AVFA)
Founded in 1990, the Agence de la Vulgarisation et de la Formation Agricoles (AVFA) is a public administrative establishment under the administrative and financial supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries. The educational and technical supervision of the AVFA is provided jointly by the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Fisheries.
Institut supèrieur agronomique de Chott Mariem (ISA CM)
The Institut Supérieur Agronomique deChott-Mariem (ISA-CM) is a higher education institution created in 1975, underthe supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries(IRESA) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research(University of Sousse).
ISA-CM provides quality training in agronomic sciences and landscape architecture and promotes research and innovation in the various specialties of the establishment (horticultural systems engineering, horticulture, landscapes, animal production, plant protection). Their objective is to put sustainability at the heart of the economy, systems production and consumption patterns, relying on technical innovation and new management methods.
Mediterranean School of Business (MSB)
MSB is the business school unit of the South Mediterranean University. MSB offers undergraduate and graduate programs in different majors (Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, etc.) and the outstanding Executive MBA program internationally accredited by the London-Based Association of MBA.
As a school for future leaders, MSB aims at illuminating their students' paths by providing them with the necessary knowledge for refining business strategies and developing core skills. The school offers undergraduate and graduate programs, executive education, international programs, consultancy services and support to start-ups through their incubator.
