Maryam Diallo is currently a Research intern at UM – MSM since January, with a background in Economics and Business Economics, and a focus on Emerging Markets. Maryam will spend her internship of 4 months of which 3 at Hawassa University in Ethiopia, while conducting research and contributing to the MOBILISE project. Being a third-culture child, she
Besides that, she is also deeply passionate about matters regarding international law and justice. Additionally, she enjoys expressing her creativity through fashion illustration. Her academic journey has equipped her with a deep understanding of the dynamic forces shaping global economies, particularly in rapidly evolving regions. Maryam’s goal is to be committed to contributing meaningful insights and solutions in emerging economies.
Hello everyone,
In January I started my full-time internship at MSM here in Maastricht. So far, I have gotten to know many of you and have enjoyed it. For the people I have yet to meet, here is a short introduction about me. I am finishing up my bachelor’s in international business with a specialization in Emerging markets, for which we must conduct an internship. I was born in Portugal where I lived 8 years, I then moved with my parents and two sisters to São Paulo. At the age of 16 we moved to Utrecht in The Netherlands, where I finished up high school. My hobby is rowing, which I enjoy a lot and spend most of my free time on, and not always as free time on ;).
