
On Saturday May 9, Huub Mudde, MOBILISE Project Director and Alemfrie Derese, MOBILISE Country Coordinator met at Hawassa University all the 37 students that have been selected for the in-country internship. This internship is foreseen to take place in the summer of 2026, immediately after their graduation.
Huub Mudde sensitized the students about the purpose and approach of MOBILISE, an international project focusing on skills development in support of climate smart agriculture, specifically horticulture. Several students raised pertinent questions, on issues like certification, supervision, housing, and getting exposed to innovative businesses.
The actual internships are foreseen to take place at companies that are member organizations of EHPEA, the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association, after online matching interviews. Several companies have already showed serious interest
