Dutch companies strengthen the 2025 MOBILISE Traineeship program

The 2025 MOBILISE traineeship program is powered by the commitment of 18 Dutch horticulture and agriculture companies that are hosting 34 trainees from Tunisia and Egypt. Nine of these companies are returning partners from last year, demonstrating their ongoing support for building the skills and employability of young international talents.

The host companies represent a diverse mix of subsectors, ranging from greenhouse vegetable production, including cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes, to open-field and organic farming with crops such as valerian, beans, pumpkin seeds, and a variety of organic vegetables. Several companies specialize in flowers, potted plants, and berry plants, while others focus on niche areas such as asparagus, strawberries, and seed breeding for grains and flax.

Spread across five provinces—Overijssel, Flevoland, Drenthe, Limburg, and North Brabant—with notable clusters in IJsselmuiden and Venlo, these companies provide trainees with practical exposure to both technical and managerial aspects of modern horticultural operations. While only some of the companies maintain direct business links with North Africa, all play a vital role in facilitating cross-border knowledge transfer and fostering future opportunities for collaboration.
