Dutch horticultural sector welcomes the third MOBILISE cohort

The 2026 MOBILISE mobility programme is supported by 17 Dutch horticultural companies hosting the third cohort of trainees from Tunisia and Egypt. Eight companies have participated in previous editions, while nine are joining the programme for the first time, reflecting the programme's expanding network within the Dutch horticultural sector.

This year's host companies cover a wide range of specialisations, including greenhouse production of tomatoes, cucumbers, lilies, roses, anthuriums and other ornamental flowers, as well as plant breeding, seed production, plant nurseries and the cultivation of potted plants. Through these placements, trainees gain practical experience in different production systems and commercial working environments.

The companies are located across Overijssel, Flevoland, South Holland, Limburg, Drenthe, Friesland, Gelderland and North Brabant. Working alongside experienced professionals, trainees are introduced to modern cultivation techniques, sustainable production practices and the day to day operation of internationally active horticultural businesses.

The combination of returning and new host companies highlights the strong partnership that MOBILISE has built with the Dutch horticultural sector. By opening their workplaces to young professionals from Tunisia and Egypt, these companies contribute to technical skills development, intercultural exchange and long term cooperation with the programme's partner institutions
